How many times have you been sitting in the stands of a football stadium watching the team that you support and wished that just once you could be out there playing football on the pitch?
Well now you can.
Football Nights are arranging Charity Pitch Days at Stadiums all around the country and whether you are an individual who would like to play in an 11 a side match on the pitch or a member of a company team who would like to enter a team into the corporate tournament you will be able to arrange to play on the pitch of the team that you love.
ELEVEN A SIDE
In the morning and/or afternoon of our pitch days we play an eleven a side match with each team managed by a former legend from your club. Each team is provided with their kit, generally being the home and away strips of the team where the event is held. You may keep the kit and, if you wish, get it signed by the many legends of your club who will be there.
As the event is for charity, you will be invited to bid for your place in the team, stating what position you would like to play and for which manager. Players will also get the chance to take a penalty against one of your clubs former goalkeepers leading to a sudden death penalty competition.
Every player will get a commemorative medal and a copy of their “team photo” taken with their celebrity manager. Action photos will also be taken throughout the match and generally there will also be a DVD produced.
SIX A SIDE
In the evening there will be a corporate six a side tournament also played on the pitch. It will comprise 16 teams of ten people each and unlimited substitutions are allowed. There will be four groups of four teams - each followed by knockout rounds leading to a final.
Each team will get a legend from the club as their manager and as with the 11 a side match, they will also get team and action photos taken plus the opportunity to have photos taken with all the legends. They will also have a penalty shoot out competition.
After the tournament there will be a gala dinner, packed with legends and celebrities, followed by speeches and the presentation of the various trophies and awards from the evening. There will then be a charity auction of memorabilia and other items from the club.
