The City of London Challenge Cup

To be held at the David Beckham Academy, 18th November 2009

Football Nights are pleased to present The City of London Challenge Cup 2009, a 20 team six-a-side tournament to be held at the World Famous David Beckham Academy in Greenwich.

Each team will have a celebrity footballer as their manager, being a former manager of the club they nominate, and will be provided with their own team kit, with the team’s name embroidered on them, that may be kept after the event. Each team will play a minimum of 4 matches.

As well as the tournament, which will comprise group stages followed by knock out rounds leading to a final, there will also be a penalty shoot out competition run by former professional goalkeepers such as Peter Bonetti and Alex Stepney.

All teams will get dinner, including drinks throughout the evening, and this will be followed by celebrity speeches, the presentation of the various trophies and awards (including “goal of the night”, “save of the night”, “player of the night” etc). After the event each team will receive a CD of photographs from the event including their team photograph, with and without the legends, and a variety of action shots from the tournament. Players may of course keep their shirts and any medals or trophies won.

The cost of entering your team (squad of 12) in this exceptional event is £3,500 + VAT.
